Visit the city of Tours and the beautiful medieval town of Loches. You can take the waters at the local spa town of La Roche Posay or hunt for antiques and brocante at Angles sur l’Anglin For something further afield, take the TGV from Tours and be in Paris in an hour!

There are numerous excellent local restaurants. The nearby village of Le Petit-Pressigny boasts a Michelin starred restaurant.
The region is, of course, famous for wines such as Vouvray and Chinon and many producers offer vineyard tours.

Watersports at the Bellebouche Leisure Park, animals at the Réserve Zoologique de la Haute-Touche and the Zooparc de Beauval, and Futuroscope at Poitiers.
